20 September: Arrive Nairobi
On your arrival, your driver-guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation for the night.

21 September: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
This morning we depart on our safari adventure. Drive to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Maasai Mara, Kenya’s greatest wildlife reserve, is without a doubt Africa’s most famous safari destination. The Maasai Mara Ecosystem is where over two million wildebeest and zebra migrate annually. It also holds one of the highest lion densities in the world, which is why it the home of the BBC wildlife channel’s Big Cat Diary. Other game includes: leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, plains game, crocodile and small mammals including mongoose, hyrax, dik dik and the nocturnal porcupine. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive followed by dinner.

22 September: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Spend a full day game driving in the Maasai Mara. The abundance and variety of game in this reserve is nothing short of amazing. Nearly every mammal can be seen in the Maasai Mara, including various antelopes, scavengers like hyena and vultures, and all the cats (lion, cheetah and leopard). Sighting a leopard needs luck more than just being there, but lions are abundant and there are excellent chances for spotting cheetah. The hippo pool is a popular spot to watch out for hippos; with luck, you may catch crocodile basking on the rocks. Elephants, buffalo, the Maasai giraffe, wildebeest and the common zebra abound.

23 September: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast you will have a morning game viewing session and visit a Maasai village where you can learn about their traditional culture and lifestyle.

24 September: Lake Naivasha
There is the option to spend the day cycling in Hells Gate National Park. This park is famous for its geological formations and has very few predators so it is a perfect location to enjoy a safari with a difference: on a bicycle! You will have a rare opportunity to get close to giraffes, zebra, antelope, and warthogs. There is also opportunity to take a boat trip, walk in the village, or go on a walking safari.

25 September: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Drive to Amboseli National Park nestled at the foothills of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

26 September: Amboseli National Park
Spend the entire day game driving in Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is a top destination in Kenya for wildlife. Indeed, one of the classic images of East Africa is that of a herd of elephant strolling across the plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro in the background. It is to catch this sight that people flood to Amboseli National Park. While Kilimanjaro is actually across the border in Tanzania, Amboseli has a perfect view of the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, rising an impressive 5895 metres above the plains.

27 September: Amboseli to Tsavo West
The best time to view the majestic mountain is at dawn, when the clouds lift and the light is clear and soft. After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park.

28 September: Tsavo West to Taita Hills
During your full day game drive in Tsavo West you can visit Mzima Springs, where there is an underwater viewing room. In the evening there is the option to do a night game drive.

29 September: Taita Hills to Mombasa
After a morning game drive head towards the coast to Mombasa. From the peace of Taita Hills to the hustle and bustle of this historic port town, this is a day of significant contrasts.

30 September – 1 October: Mombasa
These days are up to you. Relax on the beach, shop in the Old Town, visit Fort Jesus, or experience the ancient Kayas where the local tribes once worshipped their gods. The Kayas are forests that held significance in traditional culture in this area and there are a number of Kayas extending down the coast into Tanzania. A local guide will take you through Kaya Kinondo, one Kaya that has become an eco-tourism project supporting the villages that have used the Kaya for centuries of ritual and worship.

2 October: Mombasa to Nairobi
Enjoy the morning at leisure before transferring to Mombasa Railway Station and boarding the brand new Madaraka Express train (opened in 2018) to Nairobi in a First Class seat. The train departs at approximately 3.15pm and arrives into Nairobi at 8.15pm. Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation where you can enjoy an evening at leisure.

3 October: Depart Nairobi
Transfer to Nairobi airport for your return flight.
