DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative from OTA who will assist with the transfer to your accommodation. Before checking in you will be briefed on your program ahead.
Day 2: Nairobi Excursions
After breakfast, depart to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage situated on the outskirts of Nairobi. The Sanctuary is run by Daphne Sheldrick and is set in the grounds of her house. Here you will see the orphaned animals and meet the people who handle and care for these animals. Later, visit a nature centre run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. An elevated observation walkway allows you to get face-to-face with 18-foot-tall Rothschild’s giraffes. Lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens.

After lunch, follow in the footsteps of Karen Blixen as you travel towards the Ngong Hills, you feel swept immediately onto the film set of Out of Africa the moment you arrive. The old colonial farmhouse is simple, housing a few items that Karen Blixen chose and once enjoyed herself.
Thereafter, you will be driven back to the hotel.

Day 3: Nairobi to Mt Kenya Region
Depart for Nanyuki this morning arriving at your accommodation in time for lunch.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a privately-owned 24,000 acre reserve. Game here includes a parade of elephants, giraffes, zebras and impalas among other animals. You will also visit the 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary established by the Kenya Wildlife Service and the Jane Goodall Institute. Over twenty orphaned and abused chimps reside here while becoming rehabilitated so they may be reintroduced to the wild. Also found here are almost 400 bird species in the savannah grasslands and riverine forests, including Augur Buzzard, Black Kite and African Harrier Hawk. Picnic lunch will served followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. Later drive back to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Mt Kenya to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
This morning your short flight takes you to the world-famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, backdrop to 'the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth', the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. Arrive in time for lunch at your accommodation. After lunch, spend the afternoon on safari in Kenya's most popular reserve. Drive back to the accommodation in time for a swim, a hot shower, campfire cocktails and dinner.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
One more day will be spent on safari in Africa's richest wildlife viewing arena. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara hosts Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds. Other predators include leopard, cheetah and spotted hyena, while in the Mara River you will see fat pods of hippo and vast Nile crocodiles. Other highlights include giraffe, topi, gazelle, zebra, buffalo and over 550 species of birds. Spend the evening in camp where on some days colorful Maasai dance and cultural performances may be offered as entertainment.
Optional activities abound while you’re in the Maasai Mara. You can try a balloon safari for an exhilarating experience over the savannah as the sun rises and the animals are more active. If you wish, you can also visit a Maasai Village to experience this nomadic tribe’s way of life and see their colourful culture.

Day 7: Depart Maasai Mara
A last chance to photograph that awesome sunrise before your flight back to Nairobi. You will be met at the Wilson airport by your driver-guide and representative who will assist with the transfer to one of the city restaurants for lunch before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight back home.
