Classic Kenya and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
JAMBO! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our driver who will assist with the transfer to your accommodation. Before checking in you will be briefed on your program ahead.
Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara through the town of Narok and to arrive in Mara in time for lunch at your accommodation. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive, returning later as the sun sets for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara
You will enjoy game viewing drives and other exciting activities at your accommodation.
Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserve, much the setting for the film Out of Africa. It is classic savannah – grasslands, where animals are plentiful and the vistas spectacular. In this dreamlike land, animals live in freedom, and the Maasai tend their cattle, all sharing the same land with minimal conflict. You will have two days of wildlife-viewing opportunities in the Maasai Mara Reserve, also known as the “Jewel of Africa,” a site with one of the largest and the most spectacular animal migrations in the world. The reserve is inhabited by many of Africa's most popular wild animals, including lion, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhino and hippo.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Continue with your journey this morning as you drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park boasts a huge variety of wildlife, including leopard, which is often found snoozing on the branches of the magnificent yellow-barked acacias, lion, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck, warthog, baboon, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe (only found in this park in Kenya), white rhino and the rare black rhino are protected here.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
This morning after breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its large elephant population roaming across the vast grassy plains, majestic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa), and many species of flora and fauna.

Day 6: Amboseli to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive to beautiful Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake that shimmers in a cleft in the Great Rift Valley. Later in the afternoon go for a game viewing drive in this small but uniquely diverse national park, which is a home to the world-famous tree-climbing lions, thousands of flamingoes and nearly 500 species of birds.

Day 7: Manyara to Serengeti
Your day will be spent in the Serengeti, enjoying game-viewing drives with meals being taken in the true safari style in the vast and sensational Serengeti, which covers 14,763 sq km of endlessly rolling savannah. The venue for ‘the greatest wildlife show on Earth’, the annual migration of over one million wildebeest,the park is also renowned for its lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes and plains game.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a second day of game-viewing drives in the Serengeti ecosystem.

Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to the famous Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCCA), which features rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains and dormant volcanoes. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Olduvai Museum. Known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, this is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Pioneered by famous paleontologists Louis and Mary Leakey in the 1950s, it offers a glimpse into life two million years ago. Proceed to your accommodation on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.
The afternoon will be spent at leisure.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today after breakfast, descend into the ‘8th Wonder of the World, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. Here too are all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) as well as a large cast of plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before climbing back up to the accommodation in time for relaxation before dinner.

Day 11: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Today drive to Arusha, and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 12: Depart Arusha
Depart to Kilimanjaro airport after breakfast where you will connect to your flight back home.
